


University professor at the Institute of Germanic and Nordic Studies of the Jagiellonian University and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Philology for Research and Development. She studied German philology and philosophy at the Jagiellonian University as well as at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. In 2003, she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled Verdichtete Sprachlandschaften. Paul Celans lyrisches Werk als Gegenstand von Interpretation und Übersetzung (JU), and in 2016 she completed her habilitation at the Jagiellonian University on the basis of the monograph Jean Paul und das Buch der Bücher. Zur Poetisierung biblischer Metaphern, Texte und Konzepte (Hildesheim/Zürich/New York 2015).
She has been a fellow of the DAAD, the Franz Werfel Programme (University of Vienna), the Foundation for Polish Science, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Ruhr University Bochum, University of Giessen). Her research interests include poetics and aesthetics, eighteenth- and nineteenth-century epistolary culture, contemporary German-language literature, the relationships between literature and other media, as well as archival research and scholarly editing.
From 2023 to 2026, she was the head of the Flagship Project European Heritage in the Jagiellonian Library. Digital Authoring of the Berlin Collections (DiHeLib), carried out within the Strategic Programme Excellence Initiative – Research University. She is also the co-author (with Prof. J. Paulus) of the digital edition Schriftstellerinnen aus der Sammlung Varnhagen. Briefe – Werke – Relationen (from 2023 onwards).
