Dr Anna Żymełka-Pietrzak

Graduate of the Inter-University Programme of Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies at the Artes Liberales Academy. She holds degrees in psychology and philosophy from the Jagiellonian University, where she defended her interdisciplinary doctoral dissertation on the theological, hermeneutic, and aesthetic foundations of Johann Georg Hamann’s Socratic writings. The dissertation was distinguished in the “Monografie” competition of the Foundation for Polish Science and subsequently published as Atopie Johanna Georga Hamanna (Nicolaus Copernicus University Press, Toruń 2024).

Prof. Paweł Zarychta

University professor at the Institute of Germanic and Nordic Studies of the Jagiellonian University. He studied Germanic philology at the Jagiellonian University and the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen and Nuremberg. He has received scholarships from the DAAD, the Foundation for Polish Science and the University in Würzburg. In his scholarly work, he is concerned with German-language literature of the 18th and 19th centuries and specialises in the study of German manuscripts from this period. His fields of interest also include Polish-German literary transfer and the theory and practice of translation.

Dr Monika Jaglarz

Dr Monika Jaglarz

She graduated with degrees in history as well as library and information science from the Jagiellonian University. In 2003, she was awarded a PhD in the humanities (history) at the same university on the basis of her dissertation on the book trade in Kraków in the 16th century. She is a certified senior curator at the Manuscripts Department of the Jagiellonian Library, which she headed from 2005 to 2011. Since 1999, she has been one of the curators of the Berlin Collections held at the Jagiellonian Library.

Dr Aleksandra Kamińska

Dr Aleksandra Kamińska

A graduate of English Studies and Translation Studies at the Jagiellonian University, as well as a postgraduate programme for literary translators. In 2022, she defended her doctoral dissertation titled “This Is the Way the World Ends: The Apocalyptic Tone in Selected Plays by Caryl Churchill and Samuel Beckett.” She is a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Pragmatics and Translation Theory at the Institute of English Studies at the Jagiellonian University. She is also a translator and editor of literary fiction.

Dr Katarzyna Szarszewska

She holds degrees in German philology and law from the Jagiellonian University. From 2020 to 2024, she worked on the project Pisarki z Kolekcji Varnhagena — listy, dzieła, relacje (DFG/NCN 2018/31/G/HS2/01585), and from 2023 to 2026 she has been involved in the flagship project DiHeLib. In 2025, she was awarded her doctoral degree on the basis of the dissertation Helmina von Chézy als Briefnetzwerkerin und Publizistin unter den Autorinnen ihrer Zeit — am Beispiel ausgewählter Handschriften aus der Sammlung Varnhagen. Since April 2025, she has been the principal investigator of the research project Critical Edition of Selected Letters by Alexander von Humboldt from the Autograph Collection (Sammlung Autographa) Housed in the Jagiellonian Library in Cracow (NCN 2024/53/N/HS2/00724).

Dr Elżbieta Zarych

She studied Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University (comparative literature), where she subsequently obtained a PhD in the humanities in 2002, specializing in literary studies. She is currently involved in the DiHeLib Flagship Project devoted to research on the Autograph Collection.

Norbert Nocóń

He has been affiliated with the Jagiellonian Library in Kraków since 2017, where he has served as Head of the Digitisation Department since 2022. He oversees the development of digital resources, contributes to the Jagiellonian Digital Library, and leads the design and implementation of digital services supporting both the library and the wider academic community.
